Acropolis began as a place for alternative culture. Gradually it went through a series of changes, but kept the overall concept. Various events take place under the Akropolis roof, ranging from concerts to performances and exhibitions, so you have a wide range of events and activities to choose from.
The main stage opens only certain days a week but is worth seeing. The organic-themed interior, designed by David Vávra, creates a fairy-tale environment that serves as an original backdrop for theatre performances and concerts of electronic, rock and ethnic bands. There is always a lot going on, with a carefully planned schedule. And when it comes to theatre, Akropolis is one of the top venues, not just in Prague.
In addition to the main stage, there are two additional bars where DJs play every night until the morning. Akropolis is one of the best places to enjoy Prague nightlife (and drinks) – and it won’t cost a lot.
