Main description

Every visitor from abroad wants to spend time in a traditional Czech pub and order a half litre mug of beer. And perhaps a little cheese and some smoked meats to go with it. And you can get much more out of this experience as part of our beer degustation with commentary.

A beer expert will take you through the degustation session and explain the origins of beer, when it started to be produced, and the various brewing techniques. You can try more than 10 varieties and spend an enjoyable evening in pleasant surroundings.

You’ll be served exclusively Czech beer brands – classics such as Pilsner Urquell, as well as brands from micro-breweries. And when you’ve chosen your favourite, you’ll have the chance to fill a whole glass with it.

After the degustation, which promises to be a hugely enjoyable experience, Czech beer will no longer be a mystery!

Before you go

  • The degustation starts at 5 p.m.
  • A snack will be served at the degustation so that you’re not drinking on an empty stomach
  • You will taste 10 samples of Czech craft beer in different styles, totaling approximately 1.3 l. This may seem like a lot, but remember, it’s a tasting – you don’t have to finish every sample, just enjoy the flavors.
  • The legal drinking age in the Czech Republic is 18 years of age
