Main description

It’s no surprise that when tourists come to Czechia they mostly focus on Prague. But we recommend exploring the areas beyond the capital, where you’ll find magnificent historic monuments and castles such as Karlštejn, which is situated roughly 30 kilometres from Prague.

The trip starts in the historic centre of Prague, where you’ll follow the River Vltava and then the River Berounka. Soon, you’ll leave the city far behind you, as you ride the country roads to Karlštejn. As soon as you reach the village, you’ll get the chance to have a break in a traditional pub and fill up with a hearty Czech lunch. The trip continues to the castle and the surrounding forest, from where you’ll set off for the train, which will take you back to Prague.

  • The tour starts at 9:30 a.m.
  • You can reserve a regular bicycle or an electric bicycle
  • The tour includes a stop-off for lunch at a typical Czech pub, should there be interest. Participants pay for the meals themselves.
