On the banks of the Vltava, surrounded by beautiful Art Nouveau facades, stands one of the most remarkable buildings in the entire city – the Dancing House – a masterpiece of Deconstructivist architecture, a glass and concrete building built according to the design of the Croatian architect Vlado Milunić and the Canadian American Franck O. Gehry. The playful and twirling style with its humor reminds one of the elegance and sensuality of the dancing pair of Fred Astair & Ginger Rogers.
The Ginger & Fred restaurant is located on the top floor of this startling building and offers a breathtaking view of the Prague Castle, the picturesque Lesser Town, the Vltava river and the Petřín Hill.
The restaurant’s policy is to prioritize a certain amount of playfulness, which is apparent not only in the interior décor but also in the cuisine. The menu is international, modern, creative and clearly oriented on seasonal produce of the highest quality. This is accompanied by an extensive wine list.
Apart from the main menu, there is also a midday menu with reasonable prices. A great opportunity to have an excellent meal while enjoying a great view of the city.
