If you want to see what life was like in Prague at the turn of the 20th century, take a trip through the historic centre of town in a vintage tram No 41 or No 42. You can board the tram and get off at any of the stops.
Regular tickets are not valid for these trams; you can purchase them from the conductor on board.
This tram, which travels mainly through the historic part of the city, operates every day from cca 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. throughout the year.
The route of the tram No 42:
Dlabačov – Pohořelec – Brusnice – Pražský hrad (Prague castle) – Královský letohrádek – Malostranská – Právnická fakulta – Staroměstská – Karlovy lázně – Národní divadlo (nábřeží) (National theatre, waterfront) – Jiráskovo náměstí – Palackého náměstí – Karlovo náměstí – Novoměstská radnice – Lazarská (ul. Spálená) – Národní třída – Národní divadlo (National theatre) – Újezd – Hellichova – Malostranské náměstí – Malostranská – Královský letohrádek – Pražský hrad (Prague castle) – Brusnice – Pohořelec – Dlabačov

Reduce fare apply to children from 4 to 15 years old, to students up to 26 years old, registered disabled persons and pensioners aged 65 and older.
These tickets are valid all day and can also be used for the tram No 41 and the retro bus K (Vozovna Střešovice – Bořislavka – Hanspaulka – Svatý Matěj, the weekends and on holidays).
This vehicle operates during the tourist season (roughly from March to November) every weekend and on holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It runs on a scheduled route, whose large part goes through the city center.

If you’re part of a group (up to 60 persons), you can hire the tram for a private function and enjoy an unusual experience. The tour will take you back in time several decades. Prices and conditions are available on request.
