Motel One was opened in 2014, on the former premises of Rudé právo, which used to be the official newspaper of the Czechoslovak Communist Party. It is part of a German designer hotel chain and it merges modernity and comfort with an excellent location. It is only a few minutes’ walk to the little streets of Prague’s Old Town.
The rooms come in shades of brown and turquoise, with simple and minimalist decor and furnishings. They have no phone, mini bar or coffee machine. The bathrooms have practical, but frameless showers. The towels and bed linen are from Egyptian cotton.
Breakfast is served “buffet style” in the dining room located in the basement. It includes, among other things, excellent homemade jams, which can also be purchased at the hotel reception. The hotel bar is open 24 hours, and is equipped with comfortable armchairs and sofas, where you can spend time relaxing while enjoying some of the many cocktails on offer.
