For residents of the European Union and Switzerland, a valid identity card or passport is sufficient to travel to Prague.
British nationals can travel to countries in the Schengen area for up to 90 days in any 180-day period without a visa. This applies if you travel as a tourist, to visit family or friends, to attend business meetings, cultural or sports events, or for short-term studies or training. A valid passport is necessary.
American tourists do not need a visa for visits to the Czech Republic for less than 90 days. A valid passport is necessary.
For Canadian nationals, a bilateral agreement allows entry into the Czech Republic without a visa for tourist stays of less than 90 days. A valid passport is therefore sufficient.
