Rock Café is one of the oldest clubs in town, and stays open until three in the morning. Originally, independent Czech rock bands played there, and later the club and the number of performances grew. The café hosts regular film screenings, and consists of two bars, with reasonable prices, and stages concerts by local and foreign rock bands. New Czech bands release their albums, British legends stage comebacks, and Russian metal bands stage amazing shows there. You can also hear rap and punk. In addition, stand-up comics and alternative theatre groups perform at the venue, and you can see travel-related screenings there. Rock Café doesn’t put on any airs or graces; it’s a down-to-earth place for a concert or a special event, or a chat in the open area at the bar.
