Parts of the building housing this restaurant (Golden Well Terrace) date back to the 16th century, but the interior is contemporary, designed by Italian architects Lorenzo Carmelini and Katrin Herden. Like the hotel of which it forms part, Terasa U Zlaté studny has won several awards for its cooking and luxury accommodation.
The restaurant stands immediately adjacent to a Prague Castle entrance, and Emperor Rudolf II once made use of this private access. From the restaurant’s gardens and expansive terrace, which accommodates up to 60 diners, you can enjoy exceptional views over Prague.
The sophisticated, high-quality menu is also in keeping with the exclusive panorama. The prestigious menu by chef Pavel Sapík includes Argentinian beef served with Rougié foie gras, asparagus on potato purée with Piedmont black truffles, and Sauternes sauce.
In culinary terms, this restaurant is among the very best in Prague.
