U Modré kachničky II

As you might expect, the speciality of the restaurant U Modré kachničky II (The Blue Duckling II) is duck in all its forms: rillettes served with rocket and slices of beetroot, foie gras terrines, smoked duck breasts... And that’s just the starters. The main courses include duck in six different ways: traditional roast with two types of cabbage, smoked duck breast served with rowan berries, duck with Brussels sprouts and potato pancakes or duck on plums. The venison section of the menu is well worth a visit: besides wild duck, you’ll also find wild boar and fallow deer meat. The rest of the menu consists of Old Bohemian specialities, prepared with great skill. In short, U Modré kachničky II is one of the restaurants that can be recommended to anyone who wants to discover traditional Czech cuisine.
