On the slope of Petřín, in the Malá Strana district, you can visit one of the most beautiful and important Baroque gardens in Prague.
This Italian-style Baroque terraced garden was built near Vrtba Palace between 1715 and 1720 for Jan Josef, Count of Vrtba, the highest graviate in Prague Castle.
Its size belongs more to the smaller gardens, but the originality of the architectural design of the irregular space on the slope and the artistic and historical value of the decoration give it European importance.
In the garden there is a sala terrena with paintings by V. V. Reiner, where you can listen to classical music. V. Reiner, where classical music concerts are held, and an aviary for exotic birds.
The garden and palace can be hired for social events (capacity 10-300 people).
The garden is open from late March to late October.
