Main description
Discover the hidden side of wartime in Prague. Explore the secret headquarters of the Czech anti-fascist resistance and streets where fighting took place in May 1945. A few years before, German soldiers had marched through these same streets into the city. Hear the gripping story of the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, the Reich Protector of Bohemia and Moravia, nicknamed the “Butcher of Prague” and one of the main architects of the Final Solution.
World War II in Prague has a very dynamic concept, made all the more vivid with plenty of anecdotes and personal stories, with archive photographs. The tour offers everyone wanting to know more about the Nazi occupation, British spies and the Czech resistance a unique perspective of a particularly difficult stage of the conflict.
The tour includes an exclusive opportunity to see the Romanesque underground in the house of the Lords of Kunštát and Poděbrady, which served as an air-raid shelter, and a visit to the crypt of the baroque Cathedral of Saints Cyril and Methodius, where Czechoslovak paratroopers hid after the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich.
