Main description
Born in the 1950s, black light theatre is a blend of traditional theatre, musical comedy, ballet, pantomime and circus art. The main trick is to use a black velvet backdrop that absorbs the light. The actors dressed in black blend into the background and become invisible. To create the effect, ultraviolet lamps are used to illuminate fluorescent props, costumes or paintings. This creates an effect where objects seem to levitate or come to life.
The Wow Show takes us inside the head of a man who is dreaming. Accompanied by a gentle witch, he finds himself at the heart of an enchanted world, fairytale-like but sometimes nightmarish, where he must overcome his fears to save the child he once was. It’s a colourful show, full of surprises and original inventions, and very much alive thanks to the many interactions with the audience.
